NEQHA ANNUAL SHOW SPECIAL AWARDS NEW: A copy of a performance ROM certificate must be provided to the show office as proof of eligibility for any horse entering any Performance Halter classes. To be eligible for any special award, you must declare the awards you intend to pursue (register in the show office and pay $5.00 declaration fee per award) and the horse must be ENTERED AND PARTICIPATE in that class/classes EVERY DAY it is offered, by the same exhibitor. SPECIAL AWARD SCORING: Applies to awarding of English Saddle, Custom Silver Headstalls, Silver Belt Buckles, Western Silver, and Engraved English Stirrups. All shows will count for the class special awards. Exhibitors placing in the top nine will be given a point for each exhibitor placing below them plus one point, not to exceed 9 points for first place. Points are calculated through ninth place. TIE BREAKERS for class circuit awards: (1) placing the greatest number of times; (2) most firsts, most seconds, etc.; (3) highest placing over the most horses. Final decision is up to show management. An HDR Roughout English Saddle will be presented to the High Point All-Around Novice Youth as determined by the special award scoring for this horse show, which is described above. For this award the horse must be shown in Halter under all four judges, but is not required to show in all other eligible classes for the award. Horse must be shown by one exhibitor. Riders and Horses that have already won an award are still eligible to win this saddle. 7 Custom Silver Headstalls, 3 pairs of Engraved English Stirrups, and 2 Western Silver Awards (all created by Holly Spagnola Designs), will be awarded according to the following: In order to eligible for these awards, the same horse and exhibitor must enter and participate in all classes listed in the group EVERY DAY they are offered, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE HIGH POINT YOUTH 13 & UNDER and 14- 18 (see rules below). The horse must be shown in the respective halter class every day (i.e., Novice Youth and Youth in Youth halter), but may be shown by another qualified exhibitor. HIGH POINT NOVICE AMATEUR, HIGH POINT YOUTH (13 & Under and 14-18) & NOVICE YOUTH AWARDS: For these awards the horse must be shown in the corresponding halter class (AMATEUR OR YOUTH) under all four judges, but is not required to show in all other eligible classes for the award. WALK JOG/TROT DIVISION REQUIREMENTS – Walk Jog/Trot exhibitors must be 11 years old and under WITH NO EARNED AQHA RIDING POINTS OF ANY TYPE, NOVICE OR OTHERWISE. Absolutely NO CROSSOVERS from walk trot to AQHA riding classes. Exhibitors may show in Halter & Showmanship. Exhibitors may show in English or Western attire.
